A small project for people who like to write

A little corner of the internet, at your own pace.

I'm building nook.blog because I want a personal blog of my own. I'd like it to be a welcoming place for other independent writers too—without asking anyone to turn a hobby into a monthly commitment.

A little room for your thoughts.

What I'm hoping to build

A blog that leaves room for real life.

These are the ideas guiding the project, not a list of finished features. I'm building nook.blog step by step.

01 / Pace

Write when you want

Some months bring lots of ideas; some don't. I'd rather not make a quiet month feel like a wasted subscription.

02 / Tools

Keep the useful things together

Custom domains, pages, and room for long posts should not be rewards for choosing a more expensive tier.

03 / Upkeep

Be honest about costs

Running a site has a bill. I'm exploring ways for people who use nook.blog to share it, with optional support for those who want to give more.

An idea I'm exploring

Share the bill, not a feature checklist.

nook.blog costs me about $20 a month right now, and I'm happy to cover that while I build something I need myself. If more people join, perhaps we can share the real monthly cost evenly.

$20 ÷ 1 person = $20 each
$20 ÷ 100 people = $0.20 each

Just an example, not a price or a working billing plan. Costs can change, and shared billing and donations aren't available yet.

If this sounds like a place you'd like to help shape, you're welcome to create an account. You can also read the longer developer note.
